Artistic director, choreographer and dancer Julia Kulakova and
the Kulakova Dance Troupe promote the spirit of international, intercultural and gender understanding, respect and collaboration through the art of dance and drama from all over the world.
The Kulakova Dance is a unique artistic vehicle for fulfillment of a natural feminine desire to create and express beauty. The repertoire is the artistic interpretations of authentic folklore, culture and traditions; it's inspired by and set to contemporary music.The dances are based on the material, taught at
Ms Kulakova's New York Gypsy Dance and Femme Vital classes at the 92nd Y, the JCC Manhattan and the Sarah Lawrence College.
Ms Kulakova's choreography and direction make it possible for her dancers to achieve their personal bests and set up visual artistic examples of the accomplished and exciting lives of modern women in the globalized world.

NYC DANCE Audition / Workshop for The Julia Kulakova Dance
Casting for Persian NY Parade
The Julia Kulakova and Dancers were featured regularly in NY Persain Parade since 2010. Learn a simple walking choreography and perfrom it in "Follow the Leader" sure-fire style. .
WHO is eligible to participate in this Audition / Workshop?
All dance styles welcome.The best candidate has experience in ballet and/or theatrical bellydance.Also, theatre dancers with diverse training and ability to pick up choreographies quickly will have an advantage.
DANCERS must:
Be professional or aspiring professional female dancers – 2 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERINCE.
Must be 18 years or older.
Preferred to be 5′5″ to 5′11″
DANCERS receive:
An opportunity to perform in a top American Dance Festival
Photos and video of the performance.
Will be considered for future performances with the Julia Kulakova Dance.
Learn a unique choreography from the company repertoire.
Expand their dance vocabulary and polish isolations, body control and fluidity of movement with Russian and American-trained dancer.
